Update on me and my books

I am pasting a post from my personal facebook page. To update on my injuries, I am fighting infection and blood clots from the cuts and bruises but think I am improving. It has all put me behind in getting my books out but the fact I can even keep working is a miracle as we nearly lost everything in the fire. October 24 at 4:04pm · I haven't been posting but thought I would just give a quick post, no details but just let people know we had a house fire early Tuesday ...morning before dawn. Thankfully Ian was on a rare visit while Curtis was away. A fire broke out in the chimney and came up the stair well, no smoke that we could smell but lots of flames, the smoke came later, so thick I had to feel my way out the door we never use. I had gotten Ian awake by a miracle as he was downstairs on the other side of the chimney. I managed to get out an old door that was partially blocked, fell a couple of times in the dark, one fall was close to 9 feet (I thought it was less but now that we look at it, can't believe I didn't break anything), got banged up and cut. Ian got the fire out by a miracle. He didn't know I got out and the dog didn't follow me so he assumed I was overcome and was going to kill himself getting to me. He was trained in the navy and they fight the fire or die and he can't do anything else. Even the firefighters don't know how he got the fire out and how he stood barefoot in his sleeping shorts only in flames, paint blistering all around him, and he didn't get burned. We are okay, our brave little dog, too, and thankful God got us through this as His protection is the only explanation for all of this. (the dog is very afraid of fire but came down to Ian past the flames and then tried to pull Ian away from the fire). We are together and in our home, thankful for His blessings.
